Really good campsite, facilities are spot on, plenty of space and helpful staff. It is ideally located between 4 lakes. The views of the surrounding fells are amazing and the fighter jets low fly right past the campsite. Would definitely stay and again

Stayed here this weekend for the 3rd time. Can’t fault the place, it’s really quiet and relaxing, the toilets and showers are well kept and always clean.
Location is perfect in-between Keswick and the village is only a short walk, we had a drink in the village pub.
The lad on reception is really welcoming and suggested a few routes for us as we are Wainwright bagging. Ticked 3 off during our stay (Blencathra being the best) and we will be back very soon. Hoping to stay again and tackle Skiddaw

Great campsite close to Keswick.
Came here mountain biking and very good location for Whinlatter Forest.
Great facilities, drying room came in very handy, lovely view from my tent and very peaceful.

Stayed in a family pod and was brilliant! I would highly recommend this site, the facilities are clean, the guy who checked us in was really friendly and chatty. The views in the morning are amazing, l will definitely be returning. Thank you!

What a lovely site in a superb location with great clean facilities. It feels like a campsite should be – before corporate types got hold of the main sites.
If you like mountain biking or simply walking in superb landscapes with stunning scenery then this is for you!
My only concern is if it becomes too popular, sadly around one vacated pitch some git had left rubbish and discarded charcoal when though there are plenty of bins, including a hot coals bin. Hey ho.
Whinlatter Forest is minutes away and one can cycle back down either on Forest / cycle routes or via the great Braithwaite pubs (guess my preference?).

I stayed here about 9 years ago and loved it then. Have just returned home after another stay and loved it more. Was exactly how I remembered it to be. Facilities are perfect, staff friendly and helpful, pod was immaculate. Just love the location. All of the people on site this visit mixed together and we’re lovely. Love love love this place. Thank you 👌👌
