The campsite is very well kept and clean, lovely and welcoming reception with a few essentials to purchase. Nice and peaceful feeling to it with no loud music allowed. Hot unisex showers you won’t have to pay for. We have been to many campsites and this one will definitely be kept on the “come again” list.

Great Campsite!
Fantastic campsite.

The gentleman on reception was lovely, always on hand to help, and showed us around the campsite and to our pitch.

There is a small shop in the reception area. You’re a 15-minute walk down the road to Braithwaite. Our taxi back from Keswick cost £8 on a Saturday evening. The toilets and showers were clean, and there were 3 sinks for washing up in the main farmhouse.

We stayed in the top field near the brook, which was beautiful. Everybody was respectful, and it was lovely to see and hear the kids playing. plus lots of wildlife, and surrounded by mountains.

We can’t wait to book again. We will be back.

Lovely quiet campsite, the owner is very friendly and helpful. About a 15 minute walk to the nearest pub in Braithwaite and a nice 6k walk into Keswick.

Great Campsite with good facilities
This was our first visit to Lake District and we couldn’t have chosen any better campsite! Surrounded by the mountains, not far from the lake, sheep around, and Keswick just 5 minutes drive. The host was very nice and helpful, always around and ready to help. Our pitch was great, loads of space and not too busy as we travelled outside the school holidays. We spent lovely 8 nights and would definitely come back again one day. Fantastic hiking, walking, running and cycling opportunities in the area. Facilities were good enough, toilets and showers very clean.

I highly recommend

Best campsite
We have just spent 4 nights at this campsite on our first visit to the lakes. It is without doubt the best site we have stayed. We were welcomed by Connor upon arrival and he was full of helpful tips on where to visit within the area. The site was peaceful, surrounded by imposing and beautiful mountains and hill and is ideally suited for a gentle walk into Keswick. Toilets and showers were spotless but kept the farm house feel. We will be making this a twice yearly stay from now on.

Lovely campsite
This was a return visit to this lovely campsite, our first since the younger generation took over running it. The pace and atmosphere remain the same and Connor, who seems to be there day and night, is perfect for the job. There’s plenty to do around the area including nice walks from the campsite and we enjoyed a good meal at the Coledale Inn.
The railway walk from Keswick to Threlkeld was pleasant and accessible for everyone. We also visited Blackwell Arts and crafts house near Bowness on Windermere and Brantwood near Coniston. Both worth the trip and tickets are valid for a year if you happen to be back in the area
We look forward to a return visit to Lanefoot Farm next year.
